| I bought my used 2002 DSWing last August, and the seat was not really as comfortable as I would have liked. The butt/back support did not allow me to stretch my legs enough, and I'm only 5' 8" tall. While on vacation in N.E. Florida I found a place that re-designed my seat by removing that support, and reupholstering the entire seat beautifully. Now it is the most comfortable seat I've ever sat on. The place that did the work is Sargent Cycle Products in Jacksonville. Price was "right" and the workmanship was superb. Much of their orders come via the web www.sargentCycle.com. But they also cater to Walk-In customers too. Ask for Dane at 904-354-4531. I recommend them highly. Tom G |

| Quite a sales pitch there Tom.
By the way, what is a DSWing? |

| Tom,
What did Sargent charge you and how long did they take to do the work? |

| Hi Bill,
I made an appointment, at my convenience, and left it for the day. It was done by 3 p.m. The cost was $190.00, but I asked for red double stitching which added $20. |

| That is awesome; especially when you compare it with the leather brick Corbin sells for three times that.
I've met some of the guys from Sargent at Riding Into History (I live near Jax and work a couple miles from their shop), but I've never inquired about having them do a Silver Wing seat as it's not in their published price list. I may have to pay them a visit! |

By the way, what is a DSWing? Tom G PM's me to say my comments were cynical. If that is the case I will publicly apologise as well as the PM I sent him. My comments were not intended as cynical, it was a glib comment that was the result of a post promoting the wares of a tradesman. As for my comment asking about a DSWing - genuine question. I live in the Uk and there have been many posts in the past were variants have been offered to the US market and not the UK and visa versa. All I asked was clarification. If my short reply caused anyone else offence - sorry that was not my intention. I hope most of you know me well enough over the years I have posted. As you are aware if I don't know or am unsure I will ask. Again apologies if my seeking answers is troublesome. Doug |

| Something people who get custom stiched seats don't learn until it rains....you spend 8 hours sitting on it in rain----ok with rain pants on but next day with jeans all the water comes out as you sit and that day you get wet pants.....thru the needle holes.
As I ride everyday, I prefer to leave seats alone/stock. |

| Me too John but it's horses for courses. I suppose stitching wont be an issue if you live in a state that is rain free. In the UK it would be a no - no. Rain!!! Part of every day life over here. I suppose if it enhances your ride than that make up for a wet arse!! |

I would interpret as a Dark Side Silver Wing. |
