| Picked up a used 2004 with 24K on it. At startup the v belt indicator light comes on and then goes out (does not come on anymore uring riding). Is this normal or indicating a fault?. The 2nd owner could not tell me if the belt had been replaced before he bought it with 18K on it.

| I entered the word "belt" into the search box and recieved a few options, this one is good: https://www.silverwing600.com/t3706-variator-dash-light?highlight=belt+lightThis thread ends on a bit of a hijack, but contains some good information about the light and some of its purpose. Ignore the ending... The information about it coming on at start up is in the owners manual. If you have one read it. If you need one let us know. |

| Not knowing the condition- If I were you i would just replace it, rather than it breaking and getting stuck on the road somewhere...or worse, lose power on a fast moving interstate highway. Yikes!
