SilverWing Tires Empty
PostSubject: SilverWing Tires   SilverWing Tires I_icon_minitimeTue Mar 20, 2012 5:08 pm

SilverWing and my new Burgman use same size tires---Amex owned me some -money, so have free money, as they would not send me check---so ordered tires and bike parts....and chared to card.

Pirelli Diablo shipped to front door $115 for F and Rear---I thought pretty good price, if you do own tire work--so now will have pr on hand.

Tire prices seem to go up/ down, this is best have seen in long time.

Past experience with Diablo, made in Brazil=out standing on Reflex. I always check German approval of tire for bike---did for my bike, ok for Burgman, forgot to do for SilverWing. Check Pirelli.de to be sure. German safety standards are quite high.

I will use "Ride On" for balance and seal. Good luck with that on NT700V. Note in US most bike dealers cannot spin balance 13" rear anyway. I have static balancer, but find Ride On easier and it might even seal small nail/tack hole.

I am still 90-120 days from needing new tires...but getting them ahead of time, cheap goo deal for me or anybody.

If you use Google to find a site it will give you the option to 'Translate this page'.
The translations aren't perfect but one can always work out the 'strange' bits.

It isn't German approval for tires----it is the approval for the tire (assumed to be made safely) and the compatability (tested) with the bike/scooter you are putting it on. Remember in Europe, they go fast and there are curves---kinda shoots the car tire people down.

Many of the German big company pages come down in English anyway. Doesn't bother me, German is my third language.
