just bought an 05 silver wing with approx. 14000km on it. after my first fill up (regular gas) i went 245 km when the flashing fuel light came on. when i got to the gas station it had 258km on it and took 12.508 liters which converts to 58 miles per gallon. I might add that my wife rode with me (147lbs) and im 187lbs and i have a givi extended windshield. We rode highway at 90-100kph. so no complaints here about milage. Im using supreme gas on my next tank and the blinking light came on at 265 km so im thinking i can tweek 60mpg out of the bike!! (have'nt refueled yet) We really like the bike (first scooter) and its features and comforts. My buddies were sceptical when i told them what we bought but after they ride it they love it. planning to go to New York state this summer for a trip on it. Maybe the adirondacks?? anyone with some upstate New York riding ideas??

Eddy. 258km=160.31miles 12.508liters=2.751374 gallons (imperial,were Canadians) thus therefore 160.31 divided by 2.751374= 58.2654339 miles per gallon |

It's an American forum here. If you don't are specific about Gallons, the readers will assume you meant American gallons. And the non-British European readers do not know the Canadian Gallons are bigger. Eddy

Madame Sasquatch love riding with me on the Swing. We went 6 times together and did over 1600 KL.I did over 4k so far.I did notice that riding 90 to110 Kl did no change gas milage with average of 64 mpg Imperial. Cold and high winds has the the most effect on mpg.

The pillion is sitting much higher then the rider. I adjust my Givi AFlow to the highest setting and it helps with the buffeting and she finds that the armrest that I installed makes it a more relaxing ride. Her arms are not as sore. I wish I could figure out how to put pics on this forum I have a Mac and I cant figure out how to transfer my pics from the computer to my forum album .

I gotta say, I love getting 56-59 mpg. Though, that's on a Shadow, not a SWing.
