PostSubject: One year Anniversary with my Silverwing   One year Anniversary with my Silverwing I_icon_minitimeSun Dec 09, 2012 2:57 pm

Yesterday marked my 1 year anniversary with my 2007
Silverwing . 7345 miles and no problems.
Celebrated by changing the oil.
Weather has turned nasty here again , rain, drizzle and dampness (Almost like being in Limeyland)
More rain forecast for the next few days so I won't be out riding at least till Wednesday.
Next year plan on really racking up some miles and traveling
with the Wing. Work got in the way too much this year.
Plan on investing in the Givi passenger backrest and a topbox
to add to passenger comfort and cargo capacity.

Surleybiker:
Congratulations on your 1 yr anniversary. Also not that if you get certain types of top boxes (Givi for exampe) you do not also need a backrest as they have a pad for the pillion.

The Givi top boxes don't come equipped with a pillion backrest pads, you have to buy them as accessories. The ones I fitted to my E52 and E55 top boxes were about £40 each, and the Givi TB19 passenger backrest for the Silver Wing is £55.

Yes, they are an accessory, but I don't think I paid anything close to that much. Maybe $30.00 or so. Even so, it makes a decent back rest for a passenger
