| Hi, all. I just bought a 2008 Swing with 53 miles on the odometer. The guy I bought it from bought it new in 2009 and had the fluids changed in 2011. The oil probably has about 25 miles on it. Do you recommend I change it? |

| I replace the oil in all of my vehicles at 3K intervals. Well within the manufacturers' limits. Even my by standard you have 2975 miles left with that oil.
Cheers,

| Yes, cheap, filter too? Very few people ride these things enough to wear them out----but I like piece of mind. |

| My only caveat would be that in most cases, on cages anyhow it is suggested to change at mileage limits OR at least once a year... Not sure this would apply to Silver Wings but food for thought... |

| I believe Honda says to replace the oil every 8K Miles or once a year, which ever occurs first. I wouldn't let it go 8K miles but I would change it since it's been over 1 year since last change.

| Like RichG.every 8k miles 12800 kl . I use synthetic and change at 10k kl +.The oil looks clean but I ride 95% HWY.Use the wick long filter for better filtration. |

You should proofread your posts so they make sense. How about substituting WIX for wick. WIX makes a lot of long filters. How about a part number? |

Yes, but be sure to catch the used air in a plastic bag to avoid inhaling any, then dispose of it at your local recycling centre. |

| I'm not sure if it needs it but I would do it for my peace of mind. It is only 2.25 quarts and a new filter. And when you do decide to change the oil I would also change the Final Drive oil too. If you look at my pictorial you will see that you don't have to remove any tupperware/covers at all to do this.
Again, I would change the oil for peace of mind. |
