| black tube on Rt side coming out of bottom of black chamber that sticks out from behind sidecover. Did it connect to anything else or should I just route it to dump on ground? I know a pic would help, but... |

| Canister is part of the EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM (caps because I cut'n'pasted it, not shouting). If the fuel tank was completely sealed then it could 'vacuum' preventing fuel from getting to the injection system. This allows air to replace the used fuel in the tank. So even if you fill up the tank and run it until it is empty you do not hear a 'whoosh' sound when undoing the fuel cap. You may hear a 'How Much?' sound when you pay for the fuel. Notice how I used the word 'fuel' instead of 'petrol'? I didn't want Gyro to have to go out and borrow a dictionary again! Cheers, |

Cheers,
England and America -- separated by a common language But anyway, if I'm reading these posts right everyone seems to think I'm talking about the floorboard area instead of the sidecover. I found it, Thanks anyway |

| Stanly,
Does the scooter have a rubber tube sticking out from underneath the black cover on the bottom of the scooter? I think the tube you can see sticking out of the side should be the one pointing vertically down. If you can get anywhere near it to smell for fuel then you will know we are talking about the same thing. I would imagine it doesn't really matter where it is.
Cheer, |
