Just Pickedup New 2012 Swing.

I am an old guy who has gone from a Goldwing to a Silverwing. Looking forward to a lot of good times on it. Are there many Swing owners in the DFW area?

Mike 712, I also ride a Silver Wing and live in Sherman a few miles up the rode from you so give me a shout and we will try to meet and ride some...Had my wing for about a year...previously rode a Valkyrie Interstate.

  Mike712. There are quite a few riders in the DFW area, but I'm not too sure how active they are on the forum. We do have one member from Chicago who brings her weather to McKinney from time to time. You'll know when she's here by the rain and ice storms.

 Mike712! I do not bring rain and ice storms some snow maybe but not ice storms.  Hi Yo is delusional.  Bob and I are planning a trip down to McKinney in Sept.  We plan on going down to the hill country for a few days with our friends.  They will drive and we will ride.  You will enjoy the Swing and this forum.

I agree about it being a great forum. It was this forum that convinced me I wanted a Swing. I am sure I will have a lot of questions in the coming weeks and months. My current question is what kind of top box to put on. GIVI or BESTEM. Any advice?

mike712, that is almost as loaded question as what kind of oil or tires to use. I have a Givi E470 and I am happy with it but I'm sure you will get other opinions. Sometimes you can find good deals used, I got mine for $50 used. Good luck in your search. Whatever you get, after you put it on you will be glad you got it.

If you have an unlimited income go with the Givi. If your on a budget, like me, go with the Bestem. My Bestem 2012 looks sharp and works perfectly for me! When i was shoppin for a topbox i researched all the options and decided the Bestem was the best bang for the buck imho!

I would love to pickup a used GIVI Box. Did you find it on here?

Welcome to the forum. I'm in the DFW area, in Carrollton. I don't use the Givi box, but I highly recommend the Give two part windshield. Info on this site. Most any question that comes to mind has been discussed on this site. Lots of good info here.

I'm an old guy who put a Givi E-52 on my 2008 SWing and very pleased with how much it can hold. Good luck finding a used one, I looked with no luck and finally bought new. Ride Safe.

Howdy, and   from Kansas. I've got a Givi 470 Monolock box on the back of my S'wing. It's a great box, but I wish I had spent a little more and got the larger E55. There's just not enough room in the 470 for two full-face helmets.

I just put on the GIVI E55 with matching red cover, brake lights and inside liner. I love it you won't be disappointed you got one.  

I have the CooCase S48. I like it a lot. I use it all the time holds two full face helmets no problem. It may depend on the size of the helmet though. I wear a medium, Bob wears extra large.
