Incidentally if you're using a PC you can get º by holding down Alt and typing 0186 on the number key-pad; it doesn't work with the number keys along the top. 

I've just moved house and these storage boxes won't empty themselves, and I have to inform DVLA of my new address on licence, and vehicle logbooks. Inform vehicle insurers so they can shaft me for cash for changing address details, regularly take boxes for recycling at the local tip, surplus items to a charity shop, register with a new GP, screw together half of a small branch of IKEA, and most important of all keep on the right side of Mrs M during all this hassle. So apart from changing my tax disc and getting my Silver Wing into the garage I couldn't care less about going for a ride at the moment.

One of the most stressful things moving house meldrew ,and I have only done it twice .Good luck with the flat packs

Thanks, this is my second move since retiring last year. As long as I get bribed with a plate of meatballs with mash, peas, gravy, and lingonberry sauce in the IKEA restaurant I'll wander round quite happily and screw stuff together at home. Some of their meatballs may have contained horse meat earlier this year as press reports suggested but so what, I'd still eat them!

Horse-meat's something of a delicacy in Belgium.

I once visited a factory that made fillings for sausages and pies. I watched a worker adding ingredients to large vat of a pink, blancmange like substance. One ingredient came from a box clearly labelled...

I was out riding today, it was lovely and sunny after the frost lifted. My favourite time of the year for riding. I think i saw maybe three other bikes, but then again people could be at work, as long as i have the right clothing nothing keeps me in. 

Did my riding on Monday for a couple Veteran's Day activities. Started out decent enough but wound up riding home in cloudy, drizzly , windy conditions on a somewhat slippery highway. Anyway, going to save myself for a Thursday Legion/Patriot Guard funeral mission for one our local "KIA" army heroes up around the Wamego/McFarland, KS area. Will be a pretty chilly morning ride but ya' gotta' do what needs doin'.

Thanks Mike. I know we had a discussion on this in a previous post but I couldn't find it. I was trying to remember how to do the degree sign on my I Pad.

Figured it out. Go to the numbers/symbol screen. Hold down the zero. A box will pop up. You slide your finger up to the box and wah lah!

It is got down to 22° this morning.

When you hold down the letter o you will have different symbols to choose. Œ õ ó ø ō ô ö ò just slide your finger to the symbol you want and remove.
