I think everyone would agree---proper boots can make motorcycle/scooter riding more comfortable....and maybe prevent injury to foot/feet on dump/accident.
Three I have now work:
Combat Light from Aerostich-not cheap, pants tuck in nicely preventing flapping. Will stay dry for a couple of days of wet riding on scooter. Work well with my jeans or leathers or Darien pants.. Before had pair of the reg Combat boots from Aerostich--after 10 years, end of line...some idiot bought them onEBAY for about the money I had in them---guess he wanted to look like he rides a lot.
Just got second pair of Wolverine #4827---they work and are all day waterproof even on motorcycle. Work as everyday boots, too. High enough for jeans to tuck in.
Last pair Red Wing Irish Setter #877. Comfortable, not waterproof. I like them, again not cheap. Have worn them for years.
I am speaking of what is available on US market----I lived/rode in Europe over 20 years and never found various European boots worked very good for me.....but they looked nice
All three of these boots do not slip when foot goes down at stop. Very important for old farts.
On tour I always carry Rubber Boots from Aerostich $35, life span over 10 years. Real cold-- as overboots help feet warm!!
