A quick question about the clear plastic shroud behind the spring. Can it be "Removed" as it has dirt and grime behind it, and I want to clean behind it. Thanks in advance. Mike

What year is your Silverwing? My 07 and early 08 don't have that clear plastic piece. My newest 08 has it. I'm not sure if they came with it and someone removed it or not because I bought them both used. If you put the year of your Silverwing in your profile no one will ever ask you what year is again.

It's a late model 08 (November) Just wanted to know if they can be broken away as it is spoiling the look of what is a really clean example of this great Scooter. How do I put the bike details on my profile? sorry but new to the forum. Mike |

I think he means "signature"! Go to your profile then click on signature where you can add any info (bike) you would like everyone to see on the bottom of your post.

Mike no need to be embarrassed as you said you're new and being new you wouldn't be expected to know the idiosyncrasies of the forum. I apologize if my wording embarrassed you I was just trying to help. Â Heck I've been here for some time and as hotwings pointed out it's in your signature where you would need to put your information not your profile. You can see even after being here for years as I have doesn't mean you know all there is to know. Although I didn't remove the clear plastic off my scooters I know it can be removed and looks fine that way. I'm not sure what the easiest way to remove the plastic is but I know it can be done. Let us know how you end up removing it.
