Hello, I am a newbie here

Hello, all,

My name is James. Just purchased a 2008 Silver Wing this afternoon. This is the 12th two wheeler in the pass 6 years. Went through various size of Motorcycles. 600cc-1520cc. Every one was purchased for a reason. Power, the ride, the look, the size. Then about a month ago. My 11th 2 wheeler was a Kymco P250 which I am keeping for shorter distance now. The scooters all the sudden make sense to me.

So did a lot of research. Because I would like to have one that can go on freeway, and I don't want to hear the engine keep saying to me "I can do it, I can do it..." like my People 250 did when I took her to the freeway. Finally, got my Swing today. The search is over. Now I have one for the street, another one for the longer trips. How nice. Have to sell my other bike to give the Swing some room in the garage though. My Shifting gears motorcycle era has come to the end.

This forum has provided some nice information in my process of finding a good ride. Now that I am an official owner of a Swing. Just registered myself here. Will be a regular here. Thank you all for logging so many wonderful tips, stories, etc. here.

I guess I will talk to you guys later. Got to go and ride some more.

Welcome James to the forum. I have an 04 Swing and I really like it. I live east of you in Beaumont area. Their are quite a few Scooter riders here in our area. There is a scooter club in Houston that I have rode with several times. Here the link to their website. Maybe we can hook up and ride. Enjoy and be safe.

Welcome to the forum and if you haven't done so yet please create your own file in the "Album" section. You can put pics of your SWing or rides you go on. We would all like to see some nice scenic pics here. Hope you like the site and if you plan on doing your own maintenance there are some "Pictorials" here too. There are also many very knowledgeable folks here too, so just ask away. That's what I do.
