| My scooter has a squeaking noise coming from the clutch and when I push it there's a constant dragging noise coming from the left-side of the rearwheel. Does anyone know what's causing the noise and how to fix it.
Thank you in advance for your help.

| First you need to state age/miles of scooter. If new and under warranty, take it back to Honda and let them worry about it.
Old, take it apart and look. |

| As Mr Grinsel mentioned, take it apart and look at it. Both the clutch squeal and the dragging noise sound as if they are coming from the area of clutch shoes on the Driven Pulley and the Clutch Outer (aka clutch bell or clutch drum). It could be nothing more than grit and dust between the shoes and drum.
While having the dealer check out that noise is going to cost you several hours shop labor, as a DIY job getting to those parts is not at all difficult but is best attempted when you have a Factory Service Manual (FSM) on hand to refer to.
Removing the drive belt covers and removing the windshield garnish are kind of the basics of self service for us here on the forum.
Please let us know how you get on with your noise problem. We all benefit from feedback.

| Thank you for the input it's on my 2004 Silverwing Scooter with 11K miles on it. I will study up on how to remove drive-belt cover and take a look see @ the Clutch Shoes on the Drive-Pulley and Clutch Bell. |

| Although I can't disagree with the previous statements,as they say keep it simple. Is the noise there when you are riding at a slow speed? Does it make the noise when you have it on the center stand and idling ?Does it make a difference when you slightly apply the rear brake? Although it has low mileage it could be in the belt area but I would recommend a little more diagnosis. Disc brakes are notorious for trapping dirt and small stones or gravel. Howard |
