| Hope to pick money from house sale in the morning---frees up money for bike purchase.
Will sell my 2013 left over SilverWing around $3000, no less, scooter has 45,000plus miles will be used for trip to James Bay, next week===fresh tires, battery less than 6 months old, belt still not due, Givi Adjustable Windshield and Givi Monokey rack go with.
I am not going to buy 3rd new SilverWing---they are getting too heavy for me to enjoy==will deliver for expenses. Any takers??
Givi hump bag and factory service manual extra. Have Maint. records---only OEM parts used.
Back to new bike---for long time wanted another new Suzuki TU250...but my closeby Suzuki will not take my SilverWing in trade, but Southern Honda big dealer in Chattanooga will---so considering 2017 Honda CB300 F, same price as TU, adds ABS and of course is much more power full---visit dealer in the AM.
Can try Dalton GA Suzuki dealer on trade, too.
stay tuned |

| John,
Do you think you will be comfortable on a sport bike? I'm sure it is nice but it seems you may be leaning too far forward. Whatever you get I hope you really enjoy it though. And I'm sure you will put a lot of miles on it like you did the SWing, and all your other bikes. |

| Those who ride a lot, flat bars and feet under you is really comfortable---makes less strain on body compared to feet forward---spine loves it and there is great bike control, I will be glad to get back to foot pegs, ability to let knees take some bumps....and tank to grip, too. And great reduction in bike weight.
Getting the right buffet free windshield may take several tries----for CB300F, Puig touring may work....maybe clip on spoiler will have to be added to gain the comfort I want/need. For TU250, either National Cycle street shield EX will/would. Had the plain, a little shorter one before

| John, have you looked at the new restyled Honda Rebel 300 and 500 models? They no longer have the forward controls of the old Rebel and are a very updated version. It might be worth a look while you are at the Honda dealer. |

| Went to Southern Honda in Chattanooga this AM.(they have new 2013 SilverWings on the floor they told me they cannot give away)---rode Honda CB300F ABS---lots of power, didn't like front fork action (much worse than TU250), maybe too much knee bend causing not easy use of shifter (I know they can be adjusted), Will visit Dalton GA Yamaha/Suzuki dealer on Sat---I like the simple TU250, good windshield/luggage rack easy to work out--CB300F much more work and maybe not possible. Both have no centerstands. Yamaha SR400 possibilty....but requires much money. Goal for me lighterbike, good balance===easier to control exactly at low speeds----I used first TU250 for 10,000 miles with no problems---sold it to free up garage space. Maybe dumb.
Vespa 300GTS could work for me....but no dealers, how often would I have to fix it?, 8,000 mile belt change and they ain't cheap. Pain to fill up when bags on passenger seat---best feature for me....they can be buffet free with right windshield!!
Collected money for house at noon.
Note:insurance for CB300F costs about 3 times more than TU250---Companies call it Sportsbike |
