| Seeking Wisdom of the List
Given Codge's recent "water on spark plugs" crisis, what is the best way to remedy water-contaminated fuel when you are 1000 miles away from your own shed?
Getting towed to a dealer would be the absolute last option.

| Over here a little methylated spirit is often used, this mixes with both water and petrol allowing the whole lot to be burnt off. However if you have just filled you tank with H2O this will not be the answer :-) |

| Sadly water in the fuel is not the only problem that can (& has) occur here in the UK, badly timed (by the tanker driver) input of fuel addatives can have a very similar effect, a mate 'broke down' within a few miles of 'topping up'. |

| Whenever I see a tanker on site I pass it by...I have been told by numerous drivers that when takers are unloading their fuel that they stir up the bottom of gas station tanks which causes water and other contaminants to possibly get in fuel systems. |
