| Subject: Is my HISS working? Sat Jun 15, 2019 7:39 am | |
| Whilst sitting on my SW at traffic lights the other day, I decided to finally correct the time on the clock.
As I fumbled around trying to find the correct sequence of button pressing I noticed that the HISS started flashing and then stopped. I eventually set the clock but then wondered whether the HISS light should flash.....when the bike is left unattended for instance.
I have never paid any attention to this device until now. How does it work? Should the light flash or not?...and if so..when? |

| If the HISS isn't working the bike won't start.
By default the light doesn't flash when left unattended.
You can turn it on by doing the following: 1. Turn IGNITION ON 2. Have the ODOMETER DISPLAYED 3. Press RESET BUTTON (right hand one) for MORE THAN 2 SECONDS 4. Immobiliser indicator will BLINK ONCE 5. Turn IGNITION OFF. 6. When key removed immobiliser indicator will blink for 24 hours.
Note it turns off after 24 hours, presumably to avoid draining the battery. |
