| 'The Crowman' passed its annual test of roadworthiness yesterday with a clean sheet.
British riders will know that things like worn tyres, although within the legal limits and probably needing replacing within the year, are noted on the Certificate and called 'Advisories'.
It's handy to have one's attention drawn to such matters - well, it is for me. I do check the bike before I ride but things which can be seen and tested on rolling-roads and ramps can be overlooked when the bike is on the ground.
For various legitimate reasons, it's got very dirty. I have found a motorcycle detailer just up the road and will book it in for a thorough clean; then I should be able to get a grip on it again.
Sadly but unsurprisingly, I have ridden a mere 1,377 miles since I left Salisbury on it and rode to my new home in March last year. With Steve's help, I should put a few more pleasant miles on it this Summer. |

| It’s always a great relief Mike.
You sit there constantly looking over at the tester to see if he looks at anything that bit longer... |

| Thanks, Jamie. Fortunately, this year I dropped off the Silverwing yesterday and collected it today; they get MOTs done in the evening. |

| Glad it's passed Mike, but why wouldn't it? You look after your bikes. I'll most likely MOT mine next week and tax it from the beginning of April, and then I'll organise some ride outs. Like everyone else I've missed the pleasures of just riding, drinking coffee, eating cake and talking gibberish with like minded idiots |

| Thanks, Steve. Yes, I do have it maintained properly and it has just had a big service but there's always that touch of anxiety. I'm sure yours will pass, too.
I really am looking forward to riding with you again; great rides in beautiful scenery at a sensible mix of pace.
Incidentally, are the shocks still available? |

| The shocks are ready and waiting for you Mike, although they may now be home to several species of spider - hopefully not endangered ones or the shocks might be declared an SSSI |

| LOL! Thank you, Steve. They'll inspire me to maintain a clean scooter. I will blow out the spiders gently and give them a safe home in my yard. |
