The D214Kit for the Givi windscreens 214DT & AF214

Hello everyone, Can I share a Tuesday thought?  

My SW has a large Givi 214DT windshield [which I'm really happy with] the shield came with the recommended kit.
And therein lies my amazement about what I read when it comes to windshields and the purchase of this D214Kit for the 2 Givi screens for our SW's.

This D214Kit certainly makes the windshield a lot less flexible when riding on some windy days.
Both with the fixed version [214DT] as the adjustable version [214AF]. I learned this from an other Dutch SW owner.

And just for a few Euros, Dollars or Pounds you are assured of a correct fit and finish for your screen on our beautyfull SW'S.

I think the pictures are clear enough.
On the last picture you see what it's all about.
The yellow circle is the part where the support kit goes.
The part what defenitly needs the kit is last corner of the fearing where the screen, fearing, batwing and the dash comes together.

My 214DT came with the kit and I fitted it simply because I figured it must have a purpose. I have since discovered that it helps to reinforce the stress areas of the screen when it's under pressure...ditto above really
