- Thanks Art,
I'm also convinced about the inadequacies of the stock windshield so will make a move on that. Did you install the Givi FT with adjustable blade? Blain Bairdb, You might also want to investigate the Kappa windshield. There was quite a bit of discussion about it that you can see by using the search box in the upper left corner. |

| Kappa and GIVI same----maybe price difference. Givi is more commonly available in US. |

- John,
I forgot to ask, where did you get your adjustable windshield? Not sure if I will need it but, if so would like to know how yours worked out. Thanks Welcome to the most friendly place on earth. Normally. Ha I just wanted to add that if and when you get the GREAT windshield, make sure the adjusting screws are real tight. I have been hit twice in my face shield in traffic going 65 and it was not fun. |

| John's Thanks for the tip, I had an extended windshield come off of my NM4 at highway speed and, as you said, "It was not fun." Bike assembled in Sacramento and shipped to SFmoto. Blain |

| You do not adjust "screws" on windshields, but Nuts--10mm socket will do it |

| Hi Blain and welcome to the site from England.
I agree with the comments about the Givi Airflow (although I have the identical Kappa), and here in the UK heated grips are a must.
Enjoy your Swing!

| Thanks for the continuing great tips on GiVi 124 nut security and heated grips. Got some photos on the uncrating in Sacramento Honda warehouse if anyone is interested. Blain |

| While I haven't lost the top of my Givi I do have two friends who've lost theirs. I have gotten into the habit of checking the security of my air flow and have found it noticeably loose a couple of times. Now I keep a dedicated 10mm wrench in the cubby to snug-up the clamp bolts. I check them every couple of weeks or more frequently if I'm on an extended ride.

| Mine blew off while my brother was riding it. He went back and got it. I was fortunate in that it blew off onto the side of the road and landed in some soft grass. No damage.

| I know all about Givi screens flying off, and top section number 3 has behaved itself since the summer of 2012. Which is just as well since the Wunderlich wind deflector fitted to it cost four times as much as the screen. But I digress, why is this under a topic labelled ’New California Member'? |
