Oh good. When I read the title I thought you were contemplating taking your engine out to dinner and a movie. Dan

I tried dating an engine once, but i came home smelling of gasoline and cheap whiskey. Oh yea, and an FYI for the future, roofies dont work on motors, that was eye opening!

Engine dating? Wasn't that what "Dancing With Wolves" was about? Enough! Back to the OP question. I did a web search on Honda motorcycle engine number and it seems the first five characters on the engine ID (located on left engine case ) are what you need (XX##E) As I understood it , the Number before the E is the year. I didn't do a check on this, but maybe it will hwlp you get started. I would start by writing down the ID off your engine and then go to the web. I hope this is of some help. If not, ask those engines you.ve been dating.
