| Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced slight popping thru the exhaust when letting off the throttle. When at highway speed, sometimes, not always, when I let off the throttle I will hear this happening. I was wondering if there is something I can check or adjust to eliminate it short of buying a $300.00 device to custom adjust my fuel injection system. The Wing drives out nice with no hesitation. I checked the air cleaner a week ago and it is fine. The bike only has a little over 4,000 miles on it. It is a 2007 model. Thanks in Advance for any input you may have. Old Hickory |

| Sounds like it back pressure burning some unburnt gas .2 cylinder motorcycle engine's are known to do a popping sound when the drive train decompress the motor with throttle close. Don't touch the fuel system they are factory set .If your mpg is good leave it alone. |

| Sounds good to me, thanks for your advice. I expect a little popping and farting from my Harley but I didn't think it was possible with the Wing. Old Hickory |

| I would also check the fuel rating you are putting in, i seem to recall someone having the same thing happen with the mixtures of fuel you can buy in the USA, Methanol, or some such thing. |

| I use non-ethylene gas in my Wing. You would think that would be the best for it. OH |

| My SWing does this, too. I always assumed it was the "Flex Fuel". It's an occasional thing for mine, and it runs fine otherwise.
It's not eay to find non-ethylene gas in our area. I was considering buying some of the cans of it at Sears (they sell it for lawn mowers, yard tools, etc).
Now, maybe I'll skip it. |
