I don't know why people are having such a hard time doing rear gear oil changes. Here it goes. Take you scoot for a little ten minute ride. Put bike on center stand and remove the two outer cases (maybe five minutes) now you are looking at the fill plug. Put a couple news papers under the drain plug. Take off the filler pug and put a drain pan under the drain plug and remove plug. Get an empty gear lube plastic bottle with the tapered tip and put in about one pint motor oil. leaving off your drain pug give the plastic bottle a nice squeeze and wait until the oil looks clean coming out of the drain plug hole. Soon as the oil looks clean install drain plug and now continue to fill rear case (.34 quart) .when oil starts coming out ,wait a few minutes until oil stops coming out and reinstall filler plug. Now you can clean outer case filter and covers. Bingo neat and clean.

That sounds like a good way to clean everything out, thank you for the tip. I guess I've been lucky every time I've drained mine the oil that came out looked just as clean as what I put in.
