Just picked up my used 2003 SW with 5300 miles on it. From what I can tell, the previous owner only put about 300 miles on it in the last 8 years. Besides a short test drive, I've only driven it the 45 miles home and need to wait to get a new plate before I ride more.

I started out about 25 years ago with a 50cc Yamaha and soon upgraded to a 1987 Honda Elite 150 that I used at college and the 25 mile commute home to work on some weekend. Soon after college I sold the scooter and moved to a car but always remembered my 2 wheel days and hoped to be able to do it again.

About 2 months ago I found a deal on a 2003 Honda Reflex with low miles and purchased that.  Ive been riding it almost daily to work and run around and put about 1000 miles on it in about 6 weeks. Reflex is great and pretty much fills the bill, but out in the country in the wind and at speed was hoping for a little more power and ability to more easily carry a passenger. Kept checking online and found this lower mileage SW at a good price and in good shape so I decided to move on up.

Can't wait to ride it some more and use it daily for the commute.  Located in the far western suburbs of Chicago, the edge of suburbs and cornland.  If your looking for a low mile (8800) 2003 Honda Reflex, as much as I'd like to keep it too, I'm selling.

swing I hope your license comes in soon so you can start riding the SW. You will love the SW. You can ride someone else around(as long as you do not weight over 360 pounds). You can use it on the highway too. Just be careful on the high the horn is not very loud and going 75+ MPH down the road most drivers do not hear it. Some folks on this forum have upgraded to a horn that can be easily heard but they usually need to make modifications to the SW so that it will fit.

Enjoy your Silver Wing it is a great scoot. Not only is the horn not loud enough but you will find the scooter itself is whisper quiet. I got stuck behind a small herd of cows on the rodeway and tried honking the horn to get them to move, no dice... And the engine did not do it. I just pushed my way through until the cows got miffed and moved aside. LOL

Have fun and lots of good info on here!

Count your blessings!  If that is the worst congestion you  encounter, I would trade with you any day small moped

Enjoy the new Swing, be careful in all that traffic. Honda hit one out of the park with the Swing. Welcome to the funny farm. Wink
