First topic message reminder :

I have a strange issue on my SW breaks.

my ABS light behaves normally (it turns off when I ride over the 10km/h)

The rear brake gets no pressure at all. I loosened the pipe (I think) that goes to the rear brake and it is completely dry, no oil, no pressure, nothing

The pipe to the far left of this image seems to be going to the rear:

Awesome news

After replacing the abs module i finally have fluid going to that rear brake.

Never heard of anything like this neither i know that could happen.
Finally got the rear caliper cylinders out. Still trying to get the 17mm pin out. Besides that i should be good to go soon to put everything back together.

Thanks for all your support and suggestions

Good news.

It will be interesting to see the inner plumbing of that module.

Take it apart. See what makes it tick —mechanically.

I did try before I bought a replacement. There's a few circlips that I wasn't able to remove (I'll post pictures) , once I get the right tool to remove those I might be able to see what's stuck.

Just a foot note, did you try the ABS Self-Diagnosis for any fault codes before the dismantle ?

That was odd, i did read codes and there were a few 81 included. But when i would ride there bike the light behaved as expected (it turned off when i get to 6mph) which indicates no faults.

So I'm not sure if those codes really mean anything

It would appear the ABS Self-Diagnosis was right, code 81 = CPU, faulty modulator.

I totally understand, but as i mentioned, in the post preceeding yours, the ABS light would behave normally that leads me to believe that the codes read while stopped were old or just bogus. You might want to test yours and check if your good functioning brakes give codes out too.

It would be interesting to see.

Sorry about the delay in response ttyllc.
Bearing in mind I reset the ABS after familiarising myself with how the diagnostics worked for the first time, both before and after reset it flashes for 7 times.......go figure coz the manual starts from 11 flashes.
Think we need a few more members input here ??

Be safe, be seen!

I kind of ignored those bc imho abs is a consolidated technology and so the fact that the light would regularly turn off tells me that the electronic is working just fine

My 2 cents
