800 Mile Ride Southwest, WI

Bob and I took a 800 mile ride this past Memorial Day weekend through Southwest, WI. We camped in Richland Center for two nights. The ride was great. Roads were scenic, nice sweepers some good curves. Nice change from Northern, IL. Went about 50 miles into MN on the otherside of LaCrosse, WI. MN 16. First 25 miles the road was great. The 2nd 25 miles road wasn't as smooth but all very scenic.

The weather was a mix of pleasant, very hot, rainy at times, and very windy on our ride back home. The wind gave me some experience of riding in strong crosswinds.

Are campground turned out to be quite nice. Very small, 36 sites, all with electric and water. Nice shaded sites. We lucked out we camped next to the picnic pavilion and were able to park our bikes under the pavilion out of the rain and on cement. Rained when we arrived and the morning we were leaving to go home.

Next trip is in a couple of weeks to Knoxville, TN.

Very nice! Did you take any pictures by chance?

Took a couple at Wildcat Mt. State Park but it was a bit hazy. One day I will post some pictures when I have the time and mindset to figure it out. I am soooo bad!
