| Why not just trigger the start lever --that will kill the headlight momentarily.
Perhaps someone from the Euro side of the pond can explain what happens when they hit the flash-to-pass button. |

| Well mine has that button for sure, it turns on the Hi intensity light (maximum) while you press the button and then kill the light when you take out you finger from it......over here people use it to alert the driver from the veicule in front that we want to overtake.
Tommorow i can try to see the part nr....is it in a visible place?

| Yes: low beam to high beam when the switch is pressed and held. |

| Flash to pass switch is NOT available on USA Silverwings.
I may put a On/Off switch with a 1 to 3+ second adjustable timer relay. To flash the head light between High and Low beam for during the day light hours ONLY.
I was really looking forward to someone Not in the USA that has the switch on their bike to provide me a Honda part number for Honda's  Silverwing Flash to pass switch, as I would cut a spot in my left switch Grip Like a lot of Bikes have. |

| Hondo's I have looked online here (UK) for a parts number PDF but no joy yet.
I also trawled eBay for breaker listings nearest I could find was a wiring loom but no part number
Bear with me next step will be a dealer phone call when I can fit it in.
Does your SW have the loom inside capped off and just a case of changing the control housing on the left bar? |

| SP, I use either the Bournemouth Honda site or Lings Spares for exploded parts diagram, for the 2010 models you need to put in 2011 year as some years are missing. I've got a new belt and rollers ready to fit, but work on the theory if I carry one, I will not need it. With 13000 miles on the original belt it may be wise for me to change it before a long trip. Hondo's a new switch is shown as being unavailable, but it is the same part that's on a Deauville or CBF600 or many other bikes, so plenty around in the UK. |
