New member introducing my 2013 Silverwing

Rusty nails here from The Blue Ridge Mountain area in Virginia. I’m thankful for being able to read and see your posts. I’m enjoying my 2013 Silverwing, picked it up last year with only 18 original miles. I now have 700 miles on it due to not being able to ride this summer due to illnesses. Thank you again!

Gustav, I use a sheep skin and it helps, I enjoy long rides and take breaks about every fifty miles or so. There are some options but $800.00 replacement seat is not a guarantee it would give me the ride I’m looking for. Enjoy your Swing!

I bought my Swing to ride in the winter while in FL. In Michigan I ride a G-wing.
Ride well, ride often.

Welcome from Norfolk, VA! My wife hasn't ridden her Swing in awhile. Should get it out more now that the weather has cooled down. We might run out to Charlottesville, VA to play pinball one day and my sister lives north of Front Royal (who now has an arcade as well). We might cross paths one day!

Funny someone mentioned Corbin seats. I hate the Corbin on my wife's Swing. Its slippery and the backrest is not adjustable. That being said I've never ridden a Swing with a stock seat.

I’m not sure yet about Corbin seats, I’ve heard a lot of good about them. Thank you cruiser, ultralight and sc00ter. A 2023 with 18 miles was what usually happens to someone else, $4000.00 for a new Silverwing was a no brained. I really enjoy it and am very happy with this Honda. Love the twist and go. I ride the mountains above Mt. Airy, North Carolina in the Galax, Carroll county area, ride safe and ride often!

Welcome aboard. You got one of the last year that Silver Wings imported into the US (2013). Mine is a 2012 and I love it, have nearly 25K on it but haven't made a trip in a while. Did ride 103 miles yesterday!

GHM, I’m ready for a ride on The Blue Ridge Parkway, last week I did a 70 mile ride to Meadows of Dan, Virginia. I was in and out of the hospital all summer so what a wonderful ride I enjoyed even though I did it solo! I’m thinking I just turned 780 miles on my 2013. Great scooter
 

I too welcome you to the forum Sid. I bought my Swing last year in August and put 1600 miles on it so far. Love most everything about it, except for head shake at low speed, but I am looking into options to make it better. I live in New Mexico and most of my riding is in mountainous country. Scooter has plenty of power for climbing and highway speeds. As you get to know your scooter you’ll appreciate what it can do.

PeteP, head shake, for one thing have you check head bearings, tire condition, some shake is nature of the beast.

Welcome to the forum. I too have a 2013 Swing. I miss riding it as I am on another island renovating my rental and did not ship it here. Was just wondering if the tires are original? I am assuming you purchased it new from a dealer. They should have replaced both tires. The belt may also be needing to be changed.

I bought it from a military man who was shipped out of the country and was injured so was never able to ride it. I did have the Honda mechanic go thru it, changed the fluids and check out the tires, never checked the belt. Because of illness I have only put 800 miles on the Swing. Great bike, I hope you are reunited with your scooter soon!
