Hi everyone.

I'm Scott from New Zealand.

I recently bought a 600cc Silver Wing and the guy I bought it from suggested I join this forum. Have to admit though it's the first forum I've joined so when I make a mess of things please forgive me 🤣.

I used to be "that guy" riding big powerful machines (R1's etc) but never got my license. Now, my son is 21 and is developing an interest in bikes and I've decided to pull my head in and emulate the way things should be done. So my last bike was a 1500cc cruiser and now I have the Silver Wing as it's something I can ride on my learners license. In NZ the license system is Learners, Restricted then Full. We have a power to weight ratio system here for any bike up to 650cc for Learners and Restricted.

I used to do all my own work on my vehicles but my body is pretty wrecked now (bottom 4 disc's in back are all collapsed, need 2 new knees and my shoulders and neck aren't too flash either).

I've already found the benefit of being part of this group, having found an old thread about replacement screens and finding one in Italy MUCH cheaper than anywhere else.

I think that covers it all! I look forward to getting to know you all.

Scott.

Hi Scott, and welcome to the forum from the UK.
I see you have already made friends with the search bar for all things Silverwing and a bit more besides that. I find key words work best.
Failing that, just start a new post/shout help!
Look forward to reading your posts.

Be safe, be seen, Hi-vis and Leds are your friends as Ear buds and headphones killed loud exhausts.
